The most iconic and imposing fortress I have ever seen. We have visited it several times and always find places that are new to us and learn new stories.
Tsarevets Fortress
The light and sound show "Sound and Light" is definitely one of the most beautiful and impressive outdoor performances we have in Bulgaria and it is well worth it. You can enjoy the show from the grandstand near Tsarevets or go to the top of the St. Gora Park where you have a wonderful view of the fortress, but unfortunately the sound is weaker.

The Samovodska Charshya was established in the middle of the 19th century, when it gathered trade and business shops, workshops and inns. The place is wonderful for strolling and relaxing. You can climb up the narrow steep streets to the church of St. Nicholas, where you will see one of the most beautiful views of the town.

The village of Arbanassi is perched on the so-called Arbanassi plateau north of Veliko Tarnovo. In the past, rich merchants lived here, selling their products throughout the Ottoman Empire (as far as present-day Iran and Iraq). They lived in impressive houses for their time, some of which remain today. In Arbanassi there are a total of 5 churches and a museum that can be visited.

A very beautiful and varied eco-trail, starting with the Kaya Bunar waterfall. We have visited it twice and it may soon become three.

An old, beautiful church, a remarkable museum and an old school, the clock tower and the old bridge - the emblems of the town, as well as the craftsman's street make the Balkan town a very pleasant place for a holiday.
